A new year has arrived, and it’s time to take a look at some of the changes we expect in one of today’s fastest growing industries. At the rate vaping is growing in popularity, it’s certain to be an exciting year with nearly limitless new innovations.

Bigger is Better
The “bigger is better” mantra has been applied to almost everything at some point, and it’s coming to vapes in 2019. In the year ahead, you’re likely to see much bigger tanks on new vapes, capable of holding more and more e-liquid so you can go longer between fill-ups. E-juice bottles are getting larger, too. Here at Shijin Vapor, we’ve already introduced 100ml bottles as the standard size for nearly all of our flavors, and we expect other manufacturers to follow suit.

Different Ingredients
You’re also likely to see e-juice ingredients changing a bit in the coming year. Don’t worry, though; you’ll still have all of the amazing flavors you love, and then some. Some experts predict that we’ll see increasing amounts of vegetable glycerin in e-juices, giving them a thicker consistency, smoother throat hit and, as a byproduct, bigger clouds. For a variety of reasons, we also expect most or all manufacturers to introduce versions of their flavors with no nicotine. Here at Shijin, we already have varying nicotine content for almost all of our flavors, including 6mg, 3mg and 0mg (nicotine-free).

Cooler Tech
Think your current vape with the monochrome LCD screen is cool? This time next year, it may be as outdated as a landline phone. We expect vapes and mods to go high-tech this year, with cool new features like fingerprint recognition and wifi capability. Touchscreens, which are already on some higher-end devices, will be ubiquitous and available on all by the most entry-level vapes by the end of the year. You may be able to interact with your vape from your smartphone, and possibly even automatically order your next e-juice bottle when you start to get low.

Memberships and Subscriptions
How would you like to know that you’ll never run out of e-juice? Or rest assured that you’re not going to dash out at the last minute just to find that your favorite vape store is closed? Some manufacturers are likely to start introducing subscription services so you can automatically receive your favorite e-juice flavors, making sure you never run out. You may also see some variants of this approach, with manufacturers offering membership programs that let you get deeper discounts and special sneak-peek access to new flavors.
